The Leadership NJ Network is a growing network of Leadership New Jersey graduates and fellows. This website was developed as part of the class of 2009 class project. The class project's mission was to put together an annual retreat that brings together fellows from past and present in an effort to reconnect and recommit them to the LNJ organization and each other.

The retreat is an opportunity to get up to date on issues and problems facing the state. It is also an opportunity to network, strengthen bonds, and create new relationships.

The Leadership NJ Network is a part of the Leadership NJ Graduate Organization (LNJGO), whose purpose is to expand learning opportunities, strengthen relationships, and encourage civic engagement among its members to improve the quality of life in New Jersey.

Graduates form coalitions to tackle statewide problems as a result of the insights, knowledge, skills, new associations and friendships they gain from the Leadership NJ program.

They have become an important resource for the state, both as individuals and as a group. They join a statewide network involved in continuing efforts to make New Jersey a better place in which to live and to work.

The Leadership New Jersey Board of Trustees includes Leadership graduates in the coalitions it forms to address priority issues. Leadership alumni played key roles in the creation of the Invest in Children Coalition and in education reform initiatives. They serve on the Partnership's Task Force on Managing Diversity and helped organize the Governor's Summit on Diversity.

The Leadership New Jersey Graduate Organization coordinates their activities. Each year it bestows graduate awards on outstanding leaders, raises funds for scholarships for the program, and keeps graduates in touch with each other through social and professional activities. It sponsors an annual Washington seminar through which LNJ graduate fellows meet with the state's congressional delegation and explore national issues.
